Attend The Virginia 2A Lobby Day

The Virginia State Motto: Sic Semper Tyrannis is a shortened version of “Sic semper evello mortem tyrannis” “Thus always I bring death to tyrants”

When Governor Ralph Northam proposed to make the average Virginian a felon for owning an “assault weapon,” citizens from all over the state flocked to town halls and flooded social media with concerns for their rights.

The immense citizen support for the second amendment has been listened to by Virginian county sheriffs who have overwhelmingly agreed to follow constitutional law over state law, despite threats of force and prosecution.

The citizens of Virginia have made it known that they are committed to standing up to law makers in Richmond by declaring themselves Constitution sanctuaries. Currently, 112 counties, towns, and Cities have declared themselves supportive of the Second Amendment and are refusing to enforce the laws.

The Virginia House and Senate will be controlled by Governor Northam and his colleagues after around $8 Million was “donated” by presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg.

Given the level of control Northam has at his disposal, democrats are able to pass any laws they desire regardless of republican interests, and most experts agree the laws will be voted on and passed in January.

The Virginia Citizen Defense League (VCDL) has been leading this fight and by all accounts has been doing a bang-up job organizing the resistance. An enormous Lobby Day Rally has been planned to show Law Makers in Richmond that the will of the people is different then the will of Billionaire Bloomberg.

On Monday January 20th, 2020, a host of citizens are planning to descend on the capital and lawfully protest the bills. Buses are being chartered to help everyone to arrive in a timely and organized manner. Seats for a round trip ticket are only $35. Click this link for bus schedules leaving and returning to your area.

Please attend the rally if at all possible. If you cannot, because you live far away or have other constraints, you can donate a seat to another concerned citizen who may be able to attend in your place.

If you would also like to further donate to the cause and show the VCDL you appreciate their dedication to Virginia, you can donate here: vcdl.org/donate/pp.

2 of the Proposed Laws:

Senate Bill 16

“Prohibiting sale, transport, etc., of assault firearms and certain firearm magazines; penalties. Expands the definition of “assault firearm” and prohibits any person from importing, selling, transferring, manufacturing, purchasing, possessing, or transporting an assault firearm. A violation is a Class 6 felony. The bill prohibits a dealer from selling, renting, trading, or transferring from his inventory an assault firearm to any person.”

There have been reports that Governor Northam has plans to amend this bill to allow “grandfathering.” “Grandfathering” means that if you already own a weapon on the proposed banned list, you may keep it and do not have to turn it in by a deadline. If you do not own one now, however, you will not be allowed to purchase one legally after the laws go into effect.

SB 1210 Paramilitary Activities

“Provides that a person is guilty of unlawful paramilitary activity if such person assembles with another person with the intent of intimidating any person or group of persons by drilling, parading, or marching with any firearm or explosive or incendiary device or any components or combination thereof. Such unlawful paramilitary activity is punishable as a Class 5 felony.”

This law is directed at making it a felony to participate in a Second Amendment rally or demonstration with your legal weapon displayed on your person.

The bill goes on to specify the punishment for participating in firearms training:

“A person shall be guilty of unlawful paramilitary activity, punishable as a Class 5 felony if he:

Assembles with one or more persons for the purpose of training with, practicing with, or being instructed in the use of any firearm, explosive or incendiary device, or technique capable of causing injury or death to persons, intending to employ such training for use in, or in furtherance of, a civil disorder.”

Let us know in the comments below if you plan to attend the rally in Virginia, as well as any thoughts you may have on this.

Even though I live in the state of Idaho I do agree with residents of Virginia. I am wondering how long it will take for the ‘sickness’ of Democrats and the ‘far-left’ to reach Idaho? We are a strong-willed people and take all of the Constitution not only for the U. S. but also for state’s rights.

We need to get the word out to have people from other States Ttend this. We need to show that we are in this together. An attack on Virginia is an attack on us all. We stop it there before it spreads. I am from Montana, and am willing to show up. But if thousands from Virginia do not attend, then we all lose.
